Cleaning business software: how many weekly clients each plan holds
ZenMaid's Starter plan (US$19 a month plus US$4 for each person on the team; not tested by us yet) holds 9 weekly clients. ServiceM8 Starter (US$29) holds 11. Three tools list charging the client's card for you on a named plan: GorillaDesk Pro (US$99 for one crew), Jobber Connect (US$199 for 2 to 5 people) and Launch27 Plus (US$299; not tested by us yet).
Estimates: a plan cap counts visits, and one weekly client is about 4.33 visits a month. Prices dated 2026-10-20 to 2026-11-03, each tool's date below. The Visit buttons near the end are plain links to each tool's own site. None of these companies has paid for this page. How we are paid. Prices are in US dollars as each tool lists them, unless a line says CA$.
Count your weekly clients
A weekly client is about 4.33 visits a month. A plan cap counts visits, not clients. So a cap fills fast.
| Plan | Price a month | Monthly cap | Weekly clients it holds | Every-other-week clients |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ZenMaid Starter | US$19 + US$4 a person | 40 appointments | 9 | 18 |
| ServiceM8 Free (1 user) | US$0 | 30 jobs | 6 | 13 |
| ServiceM8 Starter | US$29 | 50 jobs | 11 | 23 |
| ServiceM8 Growing | US$79 | 150 jobs | 34 | 69 |
| ServiceM8 Premium | US$149 | 500 jobs | 115 | 230 |
Estimates. Weekly clients = cap x 12 / 52, rounded down (52 weeks divided by 12 months is 4.33 visits). Every other week = cap x 12 / 26 (2.17 visits). Each visit counts as one appointment or job. One-off cleans and move-outs use slots too, so a real book holds fewer. Caps: ZenMaid's pricing page, read 2026-10-26; ServiceM8's pricing page, read 2026-10-20, and its plan picker in our trial account on 2026-11-02, shown below.
We saw no monthly cap printed for Launch27, Jobber, GorillaDesk or Housecall Pro in the pages and trial screens we read. ZenMaid Pro and Pro Max show no cap in our records. We have not asked ZenMaid whether one exists. ServiceM8's pricing page does not say whether each visit of a repeating job counts as a new job. If it counts once, the caps above hold more. We have not asked ServiceM8 either.
Who charges the card for you
Weekly clients expect the card to be charged on the day. Here is what each tool lists. A listing is not a test: we ran none of these charges.
| Tool | What it lists | Plan it is listed on | How we know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Launch27 | "Automatic Pre-authorization on Credit Cards" and "Automatic Charging on Credit Cards" | Plus, US$299 a month. Base (US$75) and Pro (US$150) do not list them. | Public pricing page, read 2026-11-03. Not tested by us. |
| Jobber | "Collect payments automatically" | Connect and up. Core lists "invoices with online payments". | Jobber's pricing page, read 2026-10-26; the Connect plan screen in our trial shows it too (2026-11-02, plan page only). We did not run an automatic charge. Jobber's cleaning page: clients save a card on file and pay automatically (from a summary of the page, not word for word) (read 2026-11-02). |
| GorillaDesk | "Stripe and Square subscriptions" | Pro and up. Basic lists "Square and Stripe integration" and "advanced invoice frequencies". | Our trial, plan list only, 2026-11-02. We did not run a subscription. |
| ZenMaid | "Store Cards on File". Its sign-up page also says you can "charge their card automatically". | Not stated. ZenMaid takes payments through your own Stripe or Square account. | ZenMaid's sign-up page and pricing page, read 2026-11-02 and 2026-10-26. No trial. Not tested by us. |
| ServiceM8 | Repeating jobs and reminders on every plan | Saved-card auto-charge: not confirmed | Our trial showed the plan list. The card screen needs a payments setup, which we did not start. |
| Housecall Pro | "Keyed / scanned / card on file" is a listed way to take payment, with its own rate | Which plans charge a saved card on a schedule: not confirmed | Housecall Pro's payments help article, read 2026-10-20, and our trial plan pages. Not tested for auto-charge. The rate is on the Jobber, Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan page. |
| BookingKoala | Charging client cards: not read. Its page says 14-day trial on all plans; card is not charged until the 14 days are over. | Not read | Public page text, read 2026-11-02. Not tested by us. |
What a team of four pays
Team of four means three cleaners and you. All numbers are a month, in US dollars, as listed, billed monthly. ZenMaid charges for every person on the team, so four people is the base plus four per-person fees.
| Plan | How the team is charged | Four people, a month | A year | QuickBooks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ZenMaid Starter | US$19 + US$4 for each person on the team | US$35 | US$420 | Listed on Pro, tagged COMING SOON (not live), per ZenMaid's pricing page, read in a browser 2026-11-03 |
| ZenMaid Pro | US$39 + US$14 for each person on the team | US$95 | US$1,140 | Listed on Pro, tagged COMING SOON (not live), per ZenMaid's pricing page, read in a browser 2026-11-03 |
| Launch27 Base | US$75, unlimited users | US$75 | US$900; US$765 if paid yearly | Not on Base (listed at Pro) |
| Launch27 Pro | US$150, unlimited users | US$150 | US$1,800; US$1,530 if paid yearly | Listed at Pro |
| Launch27 Plus | US$299. Users on Plus: not read by us | US$299 | US$3,588; US$3,049.80 if paid yearly | Listed at Pro; Plus is the higher plan |
| ServiceM8 Starter | US$29, unlimited users | US$29 | US$348 | All plans |
| ServiceM8 Growing | US$79, unlimited users | US$79 | US$948 | All plans |
| Jobber Connect | US$199 for 2 to 5 people | US$199 | US$2,388 | Connect |
| GorillaDesk Pro | US$99 for one crew schedule, plus US$50 for each added schedule. Users are free | US$99 if the four ride together; US$149 with two crews | US$1,188 or US$1,788 | Pro |
| Housecall Pro Essentials | US$189 on the public page, billed monthly, up to 5 users | US$189 | US$2,268 | Essentials |
Estimates: a month x 12, no sales tax, no card fees (those are in the next section). Prices from each tool's own page, dated in the list at the end.
- ZenMaid and QuickBooks. ZenMaid's Pro card lists "Quickbooks integration" with a COMING SOON tag on the same line. So it is not live. We read this in a browser on 2026-11-03. If you need QuickBooks today, do not plan on ZenMaid Pro until ZenMaid says it works. We have not asked ZenMaid. ZenMaid's price calculator also says SMS charges are not included (read in a browser 2026-10-26).
- Housecall Pro shows more than one price for the same plan. The line above is the public page, billed monthly. The same page lists Essentials at US$149 a month billed yearly. Our trial account showed other prices on 2026-11-02. We name each view and its date on the Housecall Pro cost page.
- Jobber's price depends on team size. A solo cleaner pays US$139 on Connect. Six to ten people pay US$299.
- Launch27: the prices are from its public page and we have not taken a trial. We did not read how many users Plus allows.
- BookingKoala is not in this table. No price in the page text we read, read 2026-11-02.
Pick by your number
- Up to 9 weekly clients: ZenMaid Starter (US$35 for four people; not tested by us yet, prices from its public pages) or ServiceM8 Starter (US$29, holds 11).
- 12 to 34 weekly clients: ServiceM8 Growing (US$79), or a plan with no printed monthly cap.
- You want the card charged for you: GorillaDesk Pro (US$99 for one crew), Jobber Connect (US$199) or Launch27 Plus (US$299; not tested by us yet, prices from its public page). Ask each to confirm how it works before you pay. We have not run an automatic charge on any of them.
- More than 34 weekly clients: ServiceM8 Premium holds 115 (US$149). The other tools here print no cap.
The card fee is the bigger bill
A US$120 clean paid by card online at 2.9% + 30 cents costs US$3.78. That is US$196.56 per client a year at 52 visits. For 25 weekly clients it is US$4,914 a year.
That is more than a year of any plan in the table above. The most expensive one there is US$3,588 a year.
Estimate. The rate is Jobber's online card rate (pricing page, read 2026-10-22). Your real rate depends on your processor and on how clients pay. The card rates for each tool, and the invoice size where one beats another, are on the Jobber, Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan page.
Pricing a clean by size: we could not test it
Many cleaners price by bedrooms or square feet. We searched 10 pages saved from the top search results for "square foot", "sq ft", "square feet" and "bedroom" on 2026-11-02. None says how a tool prices a clean by size. We have not opened a ZenMaid, Launch27 or BookingKoala booking form ourselves.
Jobber's cleaning page: price by size and deposits are not mentioned in the page summary (read 2026-11-02, not word for word). Deposits, tips and lockout fees: not tested for any tool here.
Ask each tool two questions. Can the booking form set price by bedrooms or square feet? Can it take a deposit?
If you are in Canada
- Currency: ServiceM8 shows CAD on its Canadian page (read 2026-10-20). Jobber bills in USD and publishes no Canadian-dollar prices (read 2026-10-22). GorillaDesk bills in USD and publishes none (read 2026-10-20). ZenMaid shows USD (read 2026-10-26). We did not read Launch27's or BookingKoala's currency.
- Taxes: Jobber's page says: "Subscription plan prices exclude sales tax where applicable." How each tool handles GST and HST on your invoices: we did not check in depth.
- Card fee on a CA$120 weekly clean: Square's Canadian page lists 2.8% + 30 cents for an invoice paid online, so CA$3.66. Stripe's lists 2.9% + CA$0.30 for a domestic card, so CA$3.78. The gap is CA$0.12 a visit, CA$6.24 per client a year, and CA$374 across 60 clients. At 60 clients the card fees alone are CA$11,419 (Square) or CA$11,794 (Stripe) a year. Estimates: 52 visits a year, 60 clients, both read 2026-11-02.
- ZenMaid takes payments through your own Stripe or Square account. Whether that works with Canadian accounts is not stated on its pricing page (read 2026-10-26), and we have not asked.
- GorillaDesk works through your own Stripe or Square account. Whether it accepts Canadian accounts: not stated on its Stripe page (read 2026-11-02).
- ServiceM8 Pay in Canada lists 3.1% + 30 cents on Starter and 2.85% + 30 cents on Growing. Its help page says these rates are current as of September 2024. On a CA$120 clean that is CA$4.02 and CA$3.72, if the 30 cents is in Canadian dollars. The fee table does not say.
Quick answers
How many weekly clients does a cleaning software plan hold?
ZenMaid's Starter plan (US$19 a month plus US$4 for each person on the team) holds about 9 weekly clients, ServiceM8 Starter (US$29) holds 11 and ServiceM8 Growing (US$79) holds 34. These are estimates: a plan cap counts visits, and one weekly client is about 4.33 visits a month. We have not tested ZenMaid yet.
Which cleaning software charges the client's card for you?
Three tools list automatic card charging on a named plan: GorillaDesk Pro (US$99 for one crew), Jobber Connect (US$199 for 2 to 5 people) and Launch27 Plus (US$299, not tested by us yet). We have not run an automatic charge on any of them, so ask each vendor to confirm how it works before you pay.
Is the card fee bigger than the software bill for a cleaner?
On a US$120 weekly clean, the card fee is about US$4 a visit, or US$197 a year per weekly client, so 25 weekly clients pay about US$4,914 a year in card fees, which is more than most plans in the table.
Not for you if
- ZenMaid Starter: you have more than 9 weekly clients, or you need online booking, which is listed from Pro. QuickBooks is listed on the Pro card with a COMING SOON tag, so it is not there today (see the note under the team table).
- ZenMaid Pro: you want one flat price for a big crew. Each person adds US$14, and the plan is priced for up to 20 people.
- Launch27: automatic charging is only nice to have. It is the US$299 plan. Or you need Canadian pricing: we did not read its currency.
- Jobber: you want prices in Canadian dollars, or you run a team over 5 and expect the 2 to 5 price. Six to ten people pay US$299 on Connect.
- GorillaDesk: you run several crews on separate routes. Each added schedule on Pro is US$50 a month.
- ServiceM8: you need a confirmed saved-card auto-charge today. We have not confirmed it. Or you pass 11 weekly clients on Starter.
- Housecall Pro: you want one clear price. We saw different prices for the same plan on 2026-11-02 in different views of its pricing.
- BookingKoala: you need a price before you sign up. We could not read it.

Vendor checks
We ask each tool once to confirm our figures. "Not yet asked", "Asked, no reply yet" and "Confirmed" carry the same weight here, and a vendor's correction needs a primary source before we change anything.

|---|---|---|
| ZenMaid | Asked 2026-11-03, no reply yet | 2026-11-03 |
