Which HVAC software holds maintenance agreements, and on which plan?

The feature has a different name in each app. Check the plan before you check the price. Every price below says which screen it came from and the day we read it.

Tested by us in a trial account on 2026-11-02: Housecall Pro, Workiz, Jobber, ServiceM8, Tradify, Fergus. Not tested by us: FieldEdge and ServiceTitan. Those two rows come from their public pricing pages only.

What search answers say. ChatGPT's answer to a 4-technician agreements question, read 2026-11-02, names Housecall Pro MAX as the agreements plan. Our read of the app is Essentials and above. That answer names no agreements plan for ServiceTitan or FieldEdge (both "quote only") and does not list Workiz. Google's AI Overview text the same day names no plan for any app. We keep the captures with our research notes.

Inputs: 300 agreements, US$240 a year each, so US$72,000 a year billed. US dollars. The US$240 is an example, not a market average. The rate on each line is the card or bank rate on that app's own help or pricing page.

Workiz does not publish a card rate: its pricing page and our trial account's billing page show none (read 2026-11-02), so it is not in the table.

Three things move the number

1. The fixed fee adds up. Monthly billing turns 300 charges into 3600. At Jobber that adds US$990 a year (US$3,168 instead of US$2,178). A percent-only rate does not change.
2. A card on file may cost more. Housecall Pro lists "card on file" at 3.49%. Its help page does not say whether a recurring agreement charge counts. We have not asked Housecall Pro and we did not run a test charge, so we do not know.
3. Bank pulls are US only. Housecall Pro says bank payments are for US businesses. Jobber lists ACH as available in the US. A Canadian shop on Jobber pays about US$2,178 to US$3,168 in card fees, based on how often you charge. Housecall Pro does not publish a Canadian card rate, so we cannot price it. Which HVAC software holds maintenance agreements?

Four apps hold agreements on a named higher plan: Housecall Pro (Membership plans, Essentials and above), Workiz (Ultimate), FieldEdge (Basic Agreements on Select, Advanced Service Agreements on Premier) and ServiceTitan (Customizable Memberships, The Works). Jobber told us on 2026-11-03 that it has no dedicated agreement feature: recurring jobs are on every plan, Core included, and agreements are set up with quotes plus recurring jobs. ServiceM8 and Tradify show recurring jobs, not agreement billing. We tested Housecall Pro, Workiz, Jobber, ServiceM8, Tradify and Fergus in trial accounts on 2026-11-02; FieldEdge and ServiceTitan are read from their public pages only.

Which of them post a price for the plan with agreements?

Only Housecall Pro, and its price depends on the screen: from US$149 a month billed annually on its public page for Essentials, and US$229 to US$299 a month list in our trial account. Workiz, FieldEdge and ServiceTitan are quote only for the plan that holds agreements.

How much does it cost to bill 300 maintenance agreements by card or bank?

US$720 to US$2,513 a year in card and bank fees on US$72,000 billed (300 agreements at US$240 a year each, one charge a year), before the plan price. The US$240 is an example, not a market average.

Does Housecall Pro charge more for a card on file?

Its help article lists 3.49% for a card on file or keyed in by staff, against 2.99% when the client pays an invoice online. It does not say whether a recurring agreement charge counts as card on file, and we have not asked.
