Depop fee calculator: US$1.61 a sale, no selling fee, US$5.21 after a boosted view

US$30 item, US$5 shipping, no boost

US$1.61 is what Depop takes: 3.3% + US$0.45 processing, and no selling fee. You keep US$33.39 before your costs. A sale that follows a boosted view adds US$3.60.

As of Nov 7, 2026, B2B Fees read Depop’s Seller fees and charges and Boosted Listings Policy: a US$30 item with US$5 shipping costs US$1.61 in Depop fees, or US$5.21 when a boosted view led to the sale. How we test · How we are paid: no link on this page earns us money.

Depop selling fees for US sellers: none

Depop’s Seller fees and charges page says: “No Depop Selling fees will be charged to sellers based in the UK, US, or AUS.” The 10% selling fee that page prints is for sellers outside those three countries.

  • On every sale: a payment processing fee of 3.3% + US$0.45, charged on the item price, shipping and any applicable taxes.
  • Only after a boosted view: a boosting fee of 12%, covered in the boosting section below.
  • Paid by your buyer, not you: a Marketplace fee of up to 5% of the item price plus up to US$1.00.

How much does Depop take? 6.33% of a US$15 sale, 3.73% of US$105

The 3.3% grows with the sale. The US$0.45 does not, so a small sale pays a bigger share of what the buyer pays. Every row has US$5 shipping, no tax and no boost.

How the listing ships, your costs and the profit you want are below.

Fees round half a cent up, which Depop does not state. Profit is what you charge, less fees and your two costs. Put your label cost under the cost to ship it.

The boosting fee: 12% after a view, not a click, for 28 days

Depop charges it when a buyer sees your listing in a boosted tile, with no click needed, and buys within 28 days. Taking the boost off does not cancel a view already made.

On the example the fee is US$3.60 with a Depop Shipping label, since it is charged on the item price alone: the order then costs US$5.21 in all. If you arrange your own shipping the fee also covers the shipping, US$4.20, and the order costs US$5.81. From October 28, 2026 no new listing can be set to ship that way, so for new listings the label figure applies.

Depop’s own pages give two rates

Seller fees and charges and the Boosted Listings Policy give 12% for UK and US sellers. Depop’s help article on fees you do not recognise still says “an additional 8% fee”. The two fee pages tie 12% to new listings from March 23, 2026, and give 8% to sellers outside the UK and US. Depop does not say what a listing created before March 23, 2026 pays, so if yours is older, check the boosting fee on a recent receipt. We used 12%.

A year of Depop fees: US$193.20, US$772.80 and US$2,898.00, 28% of it the US$0.45

The same US$30 item and US$5 shipping every time, a Depop Shipping label, no tax, no boost.

150US$63,000.00US$2,088.00US$810.00US$2,898.00

Each sale pays US$1.16 + US$0.45 = US$1.61, a flat 4.6% at every size, since nothing falls with volume. A year is 12 x sales a month x US$1.61: at 40 a month, 12 x 40 x US$1.61 = US$772.80.

Add the boosting fee

Depop prints no share of sales that follow a boosted view, so these rows are our examples. Each boosted sale adds US$3.60 (12% of US$30.00).

At 40 a month and 1 in 4: 120 boosted sales x US$3.60 = US$432.00.

What Depop does not publish

  • Label prices. Shipping is set by the parcel size you pick, and the pages we read print no price list. Enter your label cost yourself.
  • Older listings. The rate on a listing created before March 23, 2026.
  • Rounding. Depop does not say how it rounds a fraction of a cent.
  • Business accounts. No different fee is printed for a business or charity account.
  • Withdrawals. Depop’s payout page prints no fee for moving your balance to a bank account.

Next: your box and your other marketplaces

Your label cost sits outside Depop’s fees. To price a box, see the dimensional weight calculator and UPS, USPS or FedEx. Also selling elsewhere? See the Etsy fee calculator and eBay fee calculator.

Quick answers

How much does Depop take from $30?

US$1.44 if US$30 is what the buyer pays (a US$25 item with US$5 shipping); US$1.61 if the item is US$30 with US$5 shipping.

How much does Depop take from a $20 sale?

A US$20 item with US$5 shipping is US$25.00 charged. Processing fee 3.3% of US$25.00 = US$0.83, plus US$0.45 = US$1.28. Total US$1.28.

How much does Depop take from a $100 sale?

A US$100 item with US$5 shipping is US$105.00 charged. Processing fee 3.3% of US$105.00 = US$3.47, plus US$0.45 = US$3.92. Total US$3.92.

Does Depop still charge a 10% selling fee?

Not to sellers in the US. The 10% selling fee Depop prints is for sellers outside the UK, US and Australia.

Does Depop take a cut of sales tax?

The processing fee counts tax in its base, so tax raises it a little: at 8% tax on the US$35 example it goes from US$1.61 to US$1.70. The boosting fee does not count tax.

Do I get Depop’s fees back on a refund?

Yes. Depop says a refunded sale has all its fees reversed too, automatically for Depop Payments.

What should I charge to keep a profit?

With US$12.00 of your own costs, US$5 shipping charged and no boost, an item price of US$18.22 keeps US$10.00. Put your own costs in the calculator.

Not for you if

  • You sell from outside the UK, US and AustraliaDepop prints a 10% selling fee for you and a different processing route. We modelled a US seller.
  • You want your buyer’s total priceBuyers pay Depop their own fee on top of your price. It is theirs, not yours, and not in the calculator.
  • A boost offer is running on your listingDepop has run offers that waive the boosting fee on new listings for a week. The calculator assumes none.

How we know

The numbers come from the same code as the calculator, tested against hand-worked sales, a year and a round trip from a wanted profit back to a price. We made no test sales and compared nothing with a live seller account. Not confirmed: rounding, label prices, business account fees and how many sales follow a boosted view. Method: how we check prices.
